People who are unfamiliar with East Cape sometimes ask about safety at Casa de Los Torotes.East Cape in general and La Ribera in particular are very safe. This is a relatively uninhabited area and everyone tends to know everyone and look after each other. We have friends in La Ribera and environs.There is little crime of any kind. The small town of La Ribera has a police station, and a medical clinic.
