We often Surf and Kite Surf when we're en Casa.

Surfing
Unless you're around in hurricane season,
there are no surfable breaks on East Cape. Hurricanes or tropical storm surf can
create some waves at Punta Arena around the lighthouse, and further South, but
check The Surfers Guide to Baja by Mike Parise to get the place wired.
For the most part we either steam into Cabo San Jose and surf Zippers or head
over to Todos Santos where there is usually consistent surf.
Wind Surfing/Kite Surfing
You can Windsurf or Kite directly in front of
the house. During the winter the exposure is pretty close to but not directly
on-shore so you need to know how to get upwind pretty quickly. There are
some points north and south of the casa where you can find some protection to
launch if you need quieter water. The wind can howl December through March
... +25 knots so be prepared. In summer, you can get intermittent south
winds. If you need gear, lessons, etc. many windsurfers and kiters
congregate in Los Barriles in the winter.
