Cancellation Policy
Most of the guests at Casa Torotes plan well in advance and travel a long distance to visit the house. I don’t accept short term rentals. With this in mind, I have a problem with the cancellation policies offered by VRBO. While VRBO takes as payment a substantial part of the rental amount immediately upon booking, the host under all cancellation rules offered by VRBO can have a guest cancel anytime up to 60 days prior to the check in date and receive a full refund.
I am unwilling to (for example) hold a coveted Christmas reservation for 11 months only to have the guests cancel on October 23rd prior to the holiday. In this case … with only 60 days prior to the holiday I am unlikely to find another guest to occupy the time.
Therefore: this is the cancellation policy for Casa Torotes.
20% of the Total Fee is non-refundable immediately upon booking.
A full refund (less the non-refundable amount) is available 90 days before the check in date.
After 90 days, no refund, however if the guest forfeits the fee, I will make every effort to rebook them at a future date crediting them for monies received.
